A Placket is an opening in a garment that allows a person to put it on. Plackets are usually placed at the end of a sleeve, neck opening, or crotch area (hidden placket). Some plackets are hidden by an overlaying fabric and/or stitched by a hem.
Most places where a button, zipper, clasp, snaps, hook, velcro, or any fasteners appear are usually incorporated into a placket. Plackets are used for functional reasons most often, but are sometimes used as part of a design or to add style to a garment.

This is another Dobizo Answers question and answer session. If you would like to get your question answered in a more timely fashion than post it on the Dobizo Answers page instead of sending me an email to add to the thousands I already have
.
Brian Asks:
“I know this might be a dumb question but how do the store buyers buy the clothes is it invoice or just a call also
THANKS BRIAN”
I personally don’t think any question is a dumb question especially in this kind of business where you might get three different answers from two different people so confusion is very common. Also what worked for one business might not fair so well for another so different opinions can be to your advantage.
What I’m going to speak on is about the different types of orders I have had from stores and customers, because at one point I had an online store and wholesale store accounts going on at the same time.
This is a preview of
The Store Order Process and Dealing with Retail Buyers

The non coloring process to make woven or knitted fabric more acceptable to the end consumer and producing textile fabrics from greige goods. If you’re not familiar with greige goods click here. Different processes include bleaching prior to dyeing, treatments, adding properties/chemicals to enhance the performance.
Knit goods don’t require down sizing and bleaching as opposed to woven greige goods, therefore the finishing process requires only scouring to thoroughly clean the goods prior to dyeing. Most greige goods are dirty and require scouring (steam/water/detergents) to remove oils and mineral materials.
Here is an example of greige fabric in the form of a jacket:
