I was going to take some pictures specifically for my About page, but I decided to let everyone see me in my true appearance that represents how I conduct myself most of the time.
I am Fredrickus Williford a 22yr old entrepreneur and the main editor of How To Start A Clothing line from scratch. I’m originally from Anderson, South Carolina a very small town that you could drive right past in 10 minutes no joke! I went to college in Atlanta, Ga were I studied Fashion Design/Marketing for a Bachelors degree. My college year’s came to an end and that is when I started my first apparel line which was Scout Union Apparel (website is being remodeled).
So what exactly is the Dobizo Network about?
Through my journey of starting a business I ran into many obstacles from financing, barriers due to my age, resources and other business minded individuals willing to share valuable advice with me without always expecting something in return. With this site we will cover everything from my daily chores as a clothing line owner and the process u will need to go through to start and run a successful clothing line, fashion industry news, daily definitions of the lingo, industry events and what inspires me to get up everyday and go at it again.
What can you do for me Fred?
I will respond to u personally within hours or as soon as possible (traffic has picked up a bit) of receiving your inquiries and will keep u up to date on the latest apparel industries innovations from up and coming entrepreneurs to some of my close industry friends. Make sure and check the FAQ Frequently Asked Section portion of the website for answers to your most common inquiries about starting a clothing line which will be updated daily when I receive them they will be posted accordingly. Also check the Industry section for some companies that can help get u on your way to building your own apparel line. The information that I will be sharing with u will be invaluable and will be found nowhere else on the net for FREE!
Why would you do this Fred?
I do this because I like to see people succeed and prosper in life and watch people build more businesses with substance and help create jobs for their communities. I can’t say I know everything about the Fashion Industry (but who can) I will let you know anything that helped me and everything that didn’t work for me..failures and successes. I’ve been trying to find a site like this for a while now… I am what you can say a young artist. I’m only 17 years old, but I had my own business at 15 as a graphic designer and sign maker. Me and my business partner are starting our own clothing line. Do you think screen printing our own t-shirts would be a good start-up decision for us. I don’t hear much of other Indie brands saying that they screen there own shirts. Thanks for all the info.

I have a clothing line called”Choneez U Wear targeting the exploding “Latino Market”. “Choneez “is a “Spanglish” slang term for one’s underwear. ( Please see “Urban Dictionary” for full defintion.) The equivalent of “Skivies” or “Drawers” in the American Lexicon. I currently have various T-shirts,sweatshirts, jerseys and polo shirts avaliable on my website. I have made samples for the underwear and they’re really cool. The concept is simple—Call it “Joe Boxer”… “Latino Style” with images, themes and colors that project “That Proud and Distinctive Latin Flava”. Your opinion and or comments are appreciated.
