I Guess All Publicity is Good Publicity…Maybe Not

I know we all the know the saying All Publicity is Good Publicity, but is non targeted publicity good publicity.

Let me explain remember the post Who Else Wants Free Exposure On How To Start A Clothing Line…Take Advantage Or You Will Hate Yourself!?well if you haven’t read the post stop…here…and read it before going on.

Anyway I was trying to create some publicity for the How to start a clothing line from scratch blog without spending any money on advertising and plus that’s never how I intended on building this community through advertising, but through substance and offering value to the readers and it will grow organically.

Anyway I can’t say the contest was a success, but i can’t say it wasn’t a success. See the plan was to get our blog profiled on mainstream media therefore opening up new opportunities for the community to grow and to give it some more credibility.

My site did get profiled on BET The 5ive, but it just wasn’t this site . It was one of my other sites that I run. I know they had to find it through this website or either a quick search on Google can find it do to the nature of who it targets. I can’t say it all went wrong at least I did benefit from it indirectly. My other site got a link from a highly ranked domain www.bet.com , which placed it at number one for the targeted term. Therefore I received a nice little boost of traffic.
