I Have To Confess The Real Reason I Write Dobizo

Dobizo is hardwork no matter if many of you believe it or not. Many think I’m lucky to be able to write a blog, connect with people, and have company’s sponsor my website. In a since I am, but it took a year or so to get to this point.
I never started off thinking I would make money from writing articles, but the main reason was to help designer entrepreneurs not have to face many of the challenges and dead ends I face trying to start a clothing line. Many know if you ask most industry people advice they will give you the run around or only give you basic information, but none of their secrets or how to’s without any compensation to say the least.
I can tell you this as long as I keep getting comments like this I will keep writing articles and they can only get better. Many people leave me appreciative comments, but none have topped this one:
“I found this site two days ago, 11/12/07. And God as my witness, it?s a blessing! I?ve been praying for guidance and direction. I?ve literally prayed for a mentor. I have the drive and ambition to do anything, but I lack the know how in many cases. I?ve been in business now for 3 years, and the main thing I?ve been lacking is insight and advise. I?ve been working on improving my networking and trying to get insight on things I should do from local companies. I?m located in Virginia and there are some very successful clothing lines out here, but I haven?t been able to really connect with them or get inside; individual are very tight with information and not willing to provide advice. Over the last two days I?ve been on this site for over 12 hours. I?ve been listening to the interviews and reading up on the Getting Started Articles. This morning I literally experienced chills down my spine whe I was listening to the designashirt interview. The information was very insightful and exactly what I?ve been looking for. I want to thank you and most importantly commend you for doing such a great job! Continue the incredible work and I wish you the very best of luck. I?m devoted to this site from here on out. Fred you are absolutely the best! This is better than mentor, book, or site I could have wished for. This site make me believe in the proverbial saying: ?The best things in life are free.? ”

Hey there Fred,
I?d like to extend my heart felt appreciation for responding to my post so promptly; I COULDN?T BELIEVE IT! You responded very promptly (Within 2 hours of my post). I made my post, left the office to run some errands and when I returned I was right back on Dozibo.com and sure enough you had a written ?I Have to Confess the Real Reason I write Dobizo?. In addition to that you left a link from my comment to my website; that was awesome; I was literally lost for words. If leaving a comment will encourage you to continue the outstanding work your doing, I?ll leave a comment everyday. I?ve been married to this site since I?ve found it. It?s all I?ve been talking about to my lady, she feels like I?m cheating on her. It?s 5:00 am in the morning, Dobizo.com actually woke me up out of my sleep. I was reading 10 Reasons You Will Never Be Successful the other day, and I felt like you were talking directly to me. Dozibo.com has revitalized my zest for attacking my task, because over the last 4 days I?ve had more questions answered than I have over the last 4 years. I?ve referred to Frequently Asked Questions Everyday since I?ve found this site. This certainly will not be the last time you hear from me Fred. And if there is anything I can do to aid you in your movement please let me know. I would love to be a part of what you?ve created. I see no limit to my success due to Dobizo.com. Glad to see the comments back on, otherwise we wouldn’t get to see gracious posts like Sheldon has left.
Man, your site is growing leaps and bounds and I am pleased to see the progess you have made in such a short time.
I have question for Sheldon, since I know he will read this post. I really like your t-shirts, especially the all over printed ones. Do you do them here in the US or overseas ? I know allover print has been a frequent topic here at Dobizo and the forum and I would hope you might share a little bit about the process.

I too am VERY pleased with the information that is provided on this site. I am also located in VA and have questions for Sheldon or anyone else who may be able to help me. Are there any company recommendations for e-commerce site production? I know absolutely NOTHING about web design, but would like to have my merchandise available for purchase on the web. If someone could give me an idea of how to get started I would greatly appreciate it.

I appreciate the complement, however I only wish I could take credit for the all over prints. The extreme graphic shirt you see on daclosets.com actually come from a company called liquid blue. They’ve won various awards for there printing process. I came across there company at tradeshow in Atlantic City. I’m still in the beginning stages of designing and trying to become a student of the industry. I’d be happy to give you some more insight as I discover it. Theres a magazine called Printwear magazine that allows you to subscribe for free. In there there are ton on insightful articles that may shed more light on the all over process for you. Hope this helps the readers some.

Hey Thom in regards to your quetion yesterday, Printwer Magazine had an article in there about the all over process I cant recal what issue it was, but if your not already familiar with this magazine it’s a great resource you can get a free subscription at http://www.printwearmag.com. FRED, AWESOME SITE!!!! I stumbled across it the other night looking for something about manufacturers. Just like some of the others I can’t stop visiting you. You have a wealth of knowledge and we are all appreciative of your time, energy and experience. I started a streetwear line with a friend a couple of years ago. It hasn’t been easy but the journey is fun. Since I’ve found your site it’s nice to see we’ve been on track, sort of, even though we didn’t know what we were doing and I’ve learned a lot since I’ve found it. We spent a lot of money in the beginning starting with the MAGIC show. We found we didn’t have the right designs. While there we met our new artist starting all over with no money. We have recently found an investor and we are ready to roll. We will continue to use your site as a guide to our journey. Our clothing line is Urban Streetwear BAMN…BY ANY MEANZ NECESSARY. You’ll have to visit and study our progress. We are manufacturing right know so our site is just accepting e-mail addresses for the launch in about a month.
