I get this question a lot and decided to clear it up. I’m not sure if I wrote on this before, but if so here we go again.

Basically everyone ask me?second why did I start this website and first where did I get the name Dobizo from??? and what does it have to do with starting a clothing line. Well first off it doesn’t have anything to do with starting a clothing line until I branded it by writing articles and having thousands of daily visitors all interested in starting a clothing line and the fashion industry.

Just like Google had nothing to do with search engines until Larry Page and Sergey Brin made a name for it.

Eventually the word Dobizo will be synonymous with the phrase start a clothing line or fashion industry information?and will be known for it around the world.

When I registered the Dobizo name it wasn’t for starting a clothing line or anything to do with the fashion industry. It was to start a business only search engine. I though because the search results were so crowded with blog entries and web results from social networks that a separate search engine for business only results would mean big business.

So I wanted a catch name Dobizo meaning DOing BIZness Online and I know how business is spelled . I thought it would make searching for parts or specific items online that you wanted to purchase easier and the results would be organized by humans and not an algorithm. Needless to say it never became a business and I stopped before I started.

I didn’t know enough about coding, PHP, CSS and all that other good stuff at the time. I’ve came a long way since then.

Well two months later I was still running my clothing line through the entire process. After having a few feature articles in publications I started receiving emails, notes on myspace,?and questions while out in public from people interested in starting a clothing line and the fashion industry.

Need I remind you I had no experience in developing websites, but a light turned on in my head and I thought that if I could answer these peoples questions in one place I might be on to something. I thought about having a place where the fashion industry could connect on one level and eventually network…where the fashion industry connects. Dobizo was born and I didn’t buy another domain, because it was more of an experiment that blossomed into another full-time venture.
