I know after looking at the title I wrote myself it made it seem as if this was some type of revolutionary invention for clothing, but it is a new clothing company by the name of Speak 4 Ya Wear.

I received their shirt earlier this week as promised we will review any clothing company’s that send us t-shirts, jeans, footwear…whatever. For information on where to send clothing see the Contact page.

There isn’t really much I can say about the company at this point, because their website is currently under development, but the shirt I received was good quality as far as the weight and the basic screen print. Only concern I have is that they don’t have their own labels on the neck, (Used a blank Russo Wear shirt) but their is a custom label on the bottom left seam of the shirt.

Here is some random photos of the shirt:

I decided to bring Pick of the Day back! If you’ve been a long time reader then your familiar with the concept. Basically we write about any interesting company or new concept in the apparel industry from new to old. This time there is a little twist to keep the flow of the process down to a minimum and make the process of choosing what fashion industry company to write about.

For instance if you represent a clothing company then we would prefer you send a sample my size is 2x shirt and 36 jeans, but if you don’t have it just send whatever, because it is more about us seeing and feeling the quality of your garment and we will donate the clothing to a local charity. If this is not possible still send us an email to review@dobizo.com and we will review your clothing company if we like it…that simple. If we don’t review it don’t take it personal most likely we will send feedback as to why we didn’t. This is our way to give back even more and in know way are we obligated to write about your company.

This is sort of a cross between an inspirational post and a Pick of the Day.

Cinnamon Roll Gang Bag
I had to write about this bag accessories company after seeing nothing more than a picture and hearing the name…it just stands out! Cinnamon Roll Gang

The bags are so different I really couldn’t classify them into one category of clothing accessories, because I can truly say I could see everyone from the street wear womens culture to high fashion taking a liking to some of what Cinnamon Roll Gang has to offer I’m not to fond of the name, but it is different.

Their designs are based around dolls that are created from strap fabrics into bags that take on a doll like appearance, but are very colorful with an collage effect pieced together with vintage materials. Their prices aren’t bad at all either with most bags ranging from $20 -$70. Visit their online store and take a look at what they have to offer.

I thought this was the funniest thing I have seen in a while. I was searching for a particular shot of a website and some how came upon Shat Inc our Pick of the Day.

The way the company profiles the creation is as if it has came upon something so different and unique and to me it looks sort of like hats worn by people in Saudi Arabia:

Either way it isn’t anything that I see being widely adopted. I base my opinion on the fact that fashion is suppose to be functional and fashionable and this Shat definitely lacks one of the two I will let you be the judge. By the way they’re featured on Yahoo TV!

Here are some pictures of the Shat:

Apparel & Textile imports reached an all time year in the month of August weighing in at 5 billion square meter equivalents, or worth $9.6 billion. Imports showed a decrease in other areas and an increase in sales of U.S. goods and services to other countries narrowed the total trade deficit.

Continental Clothing is an apparel firm that wants to take the “green” phenomenon to a whole other level by converting there manufacturing process to 100% organic.

Two years in the making and they’re now in the process of making their mission of “to inspire and implement solutions to the environmental crisis” come true.

After looking around their site for awhile I noticed they still haven’t made the switch to 100% organic for all their products according to Impressions Mag it is definitely in the near future for this UK based clothing manufacturer.

Continental Clothing offers high quality pure organic grown cotton garment blanks. Their process is certified by the Control Union World Group and abide by the Organic Exchange 100 guidelines and the Skal International standards for sustainable textile production, which verify conformity with the organic regulations of Europe, Japan and the United States.

Continental offers 100% cotton alternatives to their organic partner. Including polos, tanks, t-shirts, childrens & baby wear, fashion forward tops, sweaters and more. You can take a look of their 2007-2008 line up by clicking here.

While most companies are worried about where can they get New Era blanks with their logo or make the next New Era Cap (Not going to happen) these guys took the head wear idea in another direction.

The Ample Creative is a manufacturer of hats for gentlemen..you know the one that will complement your three piece suit ;) . Even with a different style they still carry the exclusive tag with less than 300 per release and considering they just launched in 2005 having a full solid collection I would say they’re off to a great start in the head wear industry.

Make sure and visit their online store for your The Ample Creative fix.

Lakai Limited Footwear was the brainstorm of Mike Carroll and Rick Howard born out of their respect of professional skateboarding and feeling they had a better solution than what was available at the time.

The Lakai brand isn’t just limited to footwear, but is a full blown clothing collection including tees, fleeces, hats, beanies and accessories available online and stores worldwide.

Something with their online product showcase that is rather interesting is the Myspace like interface of it and how the About me, friends, and interest section are filled in with the shoe description and is called Lakaispace.

I know it’s about time I brought back the Pick of the Day it’s so hard to find any clothing companies that I really want to place within the site or find up and coming clothing lines that are not just in the t-shirt or hoodie market.

I found Me In Mind which started out as a Footwear line from the Global Fashion Network and I thought it was different from all the other clothing lines we have profiled and most likely the first infant/baby footwear company on the Dobizo site.

From what it seems they worked backwards starting with a footwear line and then working their way to clothing amongst other things in their full collection of baby clothing. Probably was a easy transition from footwear to baby tees and accessories considering the footwear industry has many more barriers to entry and most work their way up to sneakers and shoes.

It has definitely been a good month or so since the last time I did a pick of the day…I think!

Now they are back and I will make sure to keep you updated with some innovative, original, different, or just clothing lines I like ;) .

Funkey Flashback is a clothing line that takes you back to the bright colors, leather sweat suits..yes leather, and bubbly/graffiti fonts that are reminiscent of the 70’s, early 80’s era.

They are definitely not just hopping on the retro trend or riding the Parish Clothing bandwagon…Why say that? Considering they have been established since 1993, but began going full force in 2004.

The Funkey Flashblack apparel line currently consist of t-shirts, leathers, accessories, and the denim and footwear line will follow promptly.

The clothing company doesn’t officially launch in stores until Spring/2008, but has already been worn by many celebrities and fashion socialites. Some pieces are readily available in their online store.
