Considering most clothing companies start out producing t-shirts. I thought I would compile a short list of online resources where you could create custom t-shirts and sell them in a matter of hours.

Alright, lets say that you have your amazing designs from Photoshop that are ready to be printed onto clothing, but where should you start. Should you look into going straight to a screen printing company or is it best to buy a machine for yourself? This article will show you a few websites that you can register for, post your designs, and sell your clothing fast!

The first website that is quite popular in printing clothing is Cafepress.com. Not only can you print t-shirts, but also hoodies, tank-tops, v-necks, hats, mugs, cards, mouse pads and more. This is basically the one stop shop if you need everything. Cafepress is a well established company who is reputable and trusting. The only negative I see at this site is that some items can get expensive, decreasing your profit.

Global Korea Textile Week is an event that promotes the flourishing global Korean textile industry. The objective of the event is to ignite consumer awareness in Los Angeles into what they will consider the business mecca of the Korean textile industry.

This event can be a great opportunity for domestic buyers to outsource to Korea for textiles. There will be approximately 76 fabric and apparel companies participating the event this year. Most companies reach extends beyond Korea into Southeast Asia, and China. The event will be going on during the “LA International Trade Show Week”

It is all going down from October 15-16, 2007 and if you want to be in attendance than you should click here for the online registration.

This is another edition of the now popular Dobizo Answers page. For more information on how you can get your questions directly answered on the blog visit the Dobizo Answers page and read the guidelines.

Aspiring Designers asked three questions:

1. Possibly I?ll begin my brand with a line of hoodies and t-shirts for juniors (female). Could you please tell me how to decide on the sizes for these garments?

This question tells me…you haven’t been reading the blog before asking questions or the Dobizo Answers page because we covered this question last week. For your answer take a look at this page.

I will still elaborate on the question a little bit. Basically to sum up that article you need to know your customer. Yeah that’s it in the simplest form, but it definitely gets more complex.

I was reading through the New York Times on Thursday when I stumbled onto an article about the “Made in U.S.A.” label that some clothing companies carry and how it is now more important to clothing consumers.

I was thinking about what could be the sudden change in consumer taste or is it just coming to the apparel industries attention?

Some of the reasons for sudden change in some consumers were economic reasons, because of the rising interest in oversea produced goods. Also that more by local made products to reduce carbon emissions from imported goods and a worry about toxic goods from third world countries.

They made some references to the “Made in China” label in the article and how consumers are not as fond of it as they used to be. I don’t know if shoppers were ever fond of it or more like they just didn’t care. Funny how this is right on the tale of all the speculations with China imported goods.
