Serious about starting a clothing line? If so subscribe to our RSS feed or Email notifications for exclusive articles/updates that you don't want to miss!

If you would like to contact Dobizo then send an email to fred@dobizo.com :)?Free Clothing Fridays? if you would like to see your clothing line and website featured on Dobizo this is probably the easiest way since we have become more strict on Pick of the Day because there is so much repetition out here and everything looks alike. We will review any submissions we receive as long as it isn?t derogatory or offensive to any race, religion, or group of people you get the point.Send all free submissions to: Scout Union Apparel 751 anderson st, Belton, SC 29627. If it is clothing a size xxl should do and any footwear size 12-13 preferably 13. If you don?t have those sizes I will still review it and donate it to charity or give it to one of my family members. So if it is womens, mens, baby, maternity send it and I will review it the same day I receive it.

Im new to this but from what Ive gathered it helps to first have some sort of catalog so the companies can view your products. You will have to mail them inquiries with the catalogs or mabye take physical samples into their headquarters. If Im wrong somebody please correct me.

    Good day,

I’m interested in participating in your Global Fashion Network forum. However I need some clarification on section 5(b.) in the terms of use. Can you please explain in layman terms what this paragraph means? To me it sounds like one is relinquishing their rights to any ideas/info about & concering one’s company that are expressed on this site. Also sounds like one would be giving you permission to do whatever you like with content posted. What do you mean by non-exlcusive, fully paid, world wide license. copy, ect…?

“By posting Content to any public area of Global Fashion Network: Where The Apparel Industry Connects, you automatically grant, and you represent and warrant that you have the right to grant, to Global Fashion Network: Where The Apparel Industry Connects an irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, fully paid, worldwide license to use, copy, perform, display, and distribute such information and content and to prepare derivative works of, or incorporate into other works, such information and content, and to grant and authorize sublicenses of the foregoing”.

    Thanks,

    Rod

I’m a freelance fashion designer…I have a good friend who is talented, and our minds work well together (as artists/designers). We’d like to start our own fashion line, but have no idea how to get all the paper work done. We have no money to invest at this point, but we want to just start it so we can build it…any advise? We just want to pay all the base fees and get going. I know about filing the fictitious business name and all that…but wasn’t sure if we should do a limited partnership or limited liability company…. it’s all very confusing, and I’m overwhelmed trying to piece together all the legal stuff. We’re wasting precious energy on trying to figure out how to get it started when we could be making awesome clothes and making $$$!!! I know it will be a huge success if we can just get the ball rolling. Can someone help!! Thank you so much. Glad I found this great website…looking forward to learning more.

  42. Joya Says:

    Hi Fred
I am completely overwhelmed with all the information on this site but it is so good to come to one place and find so many resources.
I wanted to know if you have any suggestions for makers of labels? I guess I should design my own label and then have them made? Is that how that’s done?
Also, any references for sourcing fabrics of a wicking type of material?

    Joy
