A buyer like them or hate them you will have to deal with them when starting your own clothing company unless you hire a sales rep to handle your store accounts. In the beginning stages of your business why spend money when you can save and just do it your self.
The definition of a buyer is an employee that?purchases bulk?wholesale goods for resale to the final consumer at retail. That is a simple definition, but buyers have much more responsibility than meets the eye. They need to stay current with trends. Know whats the?next great clothing product/or line! Keep track of what sold, who it sold to, and at what price. Also they have to stay within a budget or an allowance for each selling season and repeat all this season after season Fall, Winter, Summer, and Spring. I guess that is why they take their frustration out on us designer entrepreneurs and make us work so hard for their store account. All in a days work
