I remember dealing with bias cut fabrics in college and this just brings back memories about how much I hated sewing and stretching fabrics, weft, warp and all those other sewing fabric terms that really got under my skin.

Bias is the diagonal direction of a woven fabric the bias cut refers to a designer utilizing the bias to cut a piece of fabric that stretches more than if they had cut on grain. I remember stretching/cutting the fabrics at the diagonals to make it even on the length and width so that you could control the way the garment will lay on the human figure, and because most woven fabrics stretch more in the bias direction.
