A fabric weave where the top twill line runs from the top left hand corner of the fabric towards the bottom right. Usually in piece dyed fabrics, left hand twill fabrics are woven from single plied yarns in the warp. In most cases left hand twill denim is softer to the touch than right hand twill. In the jeans industry Lee has always used left hand twill denims as their basic denims.

As you can see in the picture below how the twill line starts at the left and moves across to the right of the fabric:

    im confused…how do you know which way to hold it to know if it is left hand or right hand twill? if i were to rotate those pieces you show above it could just as easily be the opposite.
