This was done by Skyler, our President.
Thank you for the opportunity !

Why?d you start (insert the name of your clothing brand)?

We started CEER!US Apparel because Keith and I were tired of going to shows in the Virginia Beach area with poor turn outs, so we decided to start a promotions company. After a few months, we thought about making some shirts to help cover the cost of doing free promoting. Well the shirts were a hit, and as time passed we became a full clothing line obtaining talent and the business necessary to become this entity.

Did you have any formal training? If so where? If not how did u learn?

No, there wasn’t any formal training. Basically we have done a lot of trial and error. I feel that by doing so we have gotten a very good idea of things that do and do not work. Helps that Keith has a degree in Business Management and I’m a few months shy of my Communications degree. How do you get your clothes in stores? We have always sold and have notoriously done well on the internet. We have been in some stores in the Virginia Beach area and will be in some more very soon, hopefully some longterm relationships. More on that to come, can’t spill those beans just yet!How can consumers purchase Ceer!us Apparel?

www.ceerius.comWhat?s the strategy and the challenges of marketing?

The strategy we use for marketing is simple - everything! You can’t ever have your name/brand out there too much. The biggest challenge we face as far as marketing is just keeping track of all of the new Internet based ways of marketing.

How did u go about financing your clothing line?

This is not something we can reveal. Company secret. As Keith puts it, “Colonel Sanders didn’t give up his recipe for a reason…”

Who are the partners in your company if any and what are your responsibilities? (Describe in detail)

First there is Keith, he is the CEO. I’m (Skyler) and I am President, and finally we have Tyler, and he is the Director of Operations. As far as what each of us does, we each do a little of everything. We at CEER!US work as a team, we are constantly working on ways to improve CEER!US as a whole. There are no jobs too small or large for either of us. We each have our skill set but we all work as a team. After us we have Dru, our Aesthetic Director who does some designing for us but for the most part is in charge of the look and feel of our photo shoots, you’ll also find him as a model in places. Angela is our Distribution Director, in charge of promotions/marketing/getting it into hands. Windsor is our Development Director. We picked up Windsor in the days of music promotion and the short stint we ran as a label, and so she works the night scene, promotions/marketing, but is more geared to the bands and the scenes in this great nation, furthering a band and possibly helping them to join our roster. Jamey and Ian are Creative Directors, responsible for 80% of the clothing designs and overall look and feel of the company. The remaining 20% comes from freelance artists. We use a few more than once but try to keep it open to new people because we like new energy and it helps bring their vibe to us. It’s how we’ve always run CEER!US when it comes to creative. We all live in different areas of the country, so we have to work as a team as we can’t see one another daily.

What are some of your plans in the future?

We would like to go nation wide, and to move into a bigger office.

I see u have your clothes on celebrities how did u go about that?

That was just from word of mouth I suppose. We didn’t come to them looking to give them free stuff, they came to us. It is actually kind of cool having a celebrity wear our stuff, it really is. They sometimes look for endorsements or they often times purchase some items through another name and we find out who it really was. MTV has been good to us, let’s just say that.

What advice do you have for entrepreneurs coming up in the clothing industry?Don’t stop trying. We have had people who have said that we would pass and it was a fad, but we are still here, and well they are not. You just have to keep trying, and when someone says you will fail, prove them wrong.
