This will probably be one of the FEW times that apparel manufacturing will be on the list of discussions between presidents.
President Bush and Vietnam President Nguyen Minh Triet meet Friday at the white house to discuss economic issues. The issue of apparel manufacturing will come up, becuase Triet is going to bring up a heated issue to Bush about a controversial U.S. apparel import monitoring program that could negatively impact the Vietnamese apparel industry.
Either way The Bush administration, however, is expected to continue the controversial program that keeps a particularly close eye on prices of apparel imports from the country. According to the statistics Vietnam Apparel imports are up almost 25 percent and that gives reason for no change in the monitoring program.

I wonder what Bush is going to say to the Vietnamese President ?. Do you think he might slow down the flow of cheap labor apparel into the US from Viet Nam ? I think if Dubya sticks his nose into this, he is going to make the situation worse.
Maybe he surfed your site to learn more about the apparel industry and then felt he was properly prepared ?
