Everyone company can have a New Era colab. Its easy… UMmm Just call New Era. They had a booth at the Magic just for colabs. They send you a template. you design it. you pick the fabric. you put a deposit. you get a sample. you approve. they produce. Walla !!! your New Era colab is finished. Just wait for your project in the mail. Sell to stores and repeat process.

I love your comments…man. Yeah I know it is easy, but many can’t meet with their minimum orders…that’s where most small clothing companies can’t deliver.
I think the only “real” collab between New Era and a company is the Dc Shoes x New Era collab…probably some others I don’t know about, but I’m a hat fanatic.

Yeah, I have a hat fetish too. I read http://www. strictlyfitteds.com blog on the daily. With New Era , its not about the minimums, its about the dollar amount. They want you to spend 10 g’s to open an account. So what these small independent brands are doing is going in together on the 10 g’s and seperately get shit done. Like if Estate LA, Hundreds, Huf, and Leroy Jenkins all get together and drop 2500 each but only one them deals with the reps. These people even team up together on overseas manufacturing for t-shirts. Let’s say a factory has a minimum of 10k t-shirts a 2 bucks a piece. The will get together and spend around 7 grand a piece and split the orders. They spit the shipping cost, cause they all live in L.A. You see… in urban wear, (usually owned by minorities), they compete against each other, while in street wear they help each other out. That’s why these street wear people are really eating. Damn… I’m giving up to much game. I don’t know who could be reading this….

If the minimum is 10k why would they spend 7k apiece? They might as well spend the 10 and get the production they need. The above that you mentioned just sounds a little flawed. I mean most of the companies you mentioned can afford a 10k order…if they can’t than they wouldn’t be at the level of success they are at. Plus manufacturers have minimum per shirt per color and screen fees ( I know your familiar with that). Splitting up orders would be one hell of a hassle and screen fees would be ridiculous for all of the different designs that they produce! I could see it working with the hats, but with the shirts…It just doesn’t sound feasible.

I wasn’t talking about screened tees. If you go back and read my post slowly, i said if you buy 10k shirts at 2 bucks a piece (20 grand). you’re going to spend about a grand in custom brokerage fees. But what i was talking about was blanks homie. I’ve met those dudes. They all screen print in the US. Either they do it, or they contract it out. More people than you know are teaming up to meet minimum orders. Its not about how much money they can make, its bout keeping your money liquid. If your putting out limited tees and selling about 2500 tees a month, then why would you go buy 20,000 shirts and tie your money up like that. they spend their money on other items such as New Era colabs, denim, buttons ups, etc… But like I said earlier, i was giving up too much game. so I’ll keep my flawed comments to myself. And you can just watch their success from the sidelines. I mean , I remember when these guys wouldn’t even give you an interview, but you wouldn’t believe the amount of info, they give you in person.

first off you never said blanks…so that is why I said it was flawed.you just said going in together. As far as the interview my blog was in a infancy stage we have grown!…and I have interviews in the works with much larger organizations..watching their success…is the least of my worries hussel.
Another thing is that you are too defensive and need to realize this is a discussion and we are helping others…whether who is right or wrong is not the matter…simply gave my opinion…noone is here to hurt you…lol Turn the cockiness down just a little please…thanks

Cockiness… Is that even a word? I was giving your readers some game. Since your ummmm…. clothing line is successful and all. I stumbled upon this blog when it first started. I feel it is not only my duty to inform, but also to entertain. But since you challenged my flawed statements, I had to correct it for the time being. You’d be amazed at what and who i know. Just keep doing you. Maybe , you should turn your “cockiness ” up. Get from in front of the computer and get some fresh air. Your readers are myspacing me on the daily wanting some game. Sometimes i give it to them depending how far along they are in the game
. They’re telling my inputs are useful. My “cockiness” (or so you put it) can be confused for straight fowardness (if that’s even a word).

I love your inputs…but the attitude that you give when somebody replies to it or gives their opinion is sometimes unnecessary….but it’s all good. I’m done with building up your comments!…lol your slick.
I love your internet humor.
