Men’s Wearhouse was in the process of acquiring the After Hours Formalwear stores from Federated Department Stores. The FTC has put a temporary stop on the acquisition until proper documentation could be attained. Last year mid-November Men’s Wearhouse stated that it would acquire Federated’s 507-store for $100 million. The acquisition was suppose to close in the first quarter. Another deal on the table was the acquisition of its David’s Bridal and Priscilla of Boston businesses to an affiliate of Leonard Green & Partners, L.P. for approximately $750 million in cash was completed. As you can see there is definitely some money to be made in the fashion business and with hard work and perseverance we can all fulfill our dreams and be successful one day and reap the fruits of our labor.
