As you know some?of the most popular?denim based brands come straight out of the LA fashion market including Monarchy, Big Star, and Hudson. Most of these brands are owned and operated?by Korean-Americans in the fashion industry.

On the manufacturing side of things the market is also controlled by Korean owned companies. Manufacturers including Koos Mfg., Atomic Denim, International Garment Finishing (IGF), Indigo Group USA, U.S. Garment, Pinc Fashion, Stone Blue, New Crew Production and Trinity. Each company holds a lot of weight in the denim production industry with clients such as: Levi?s, Abercrombie & Fitch, Polo Ralph Lauren, Gap, J. Crew, True Religion, Lucky Brand, Citizens of Humanity, and Brown Label.

Many of the manufacturing/clothing companies operate overseas while some choose to operate domestically including denim based clothing brand Monarchy owned and operated by Eric Kim. They work with?Korean owned?L.A. based company named?Jakin.

One of the largest Korean owned denim manufacturing?companies?is Koos Mfg with sales over the $100 million dollar mark and growing. Owner?Yul Ku says he chose to enter the denim market, because unlike most fashions denim pretty much stays the same with the five pocket jean and it is forever…you will never stop wearing jeans.
