June 4 marked the day that Marc Ecko Cut & Sew opened its lone standing retail store for the clothing brand. The store is all part of their vertical growth operation and they see it as a gradual growth from?wholesale to a retail?standalone store.
By 2010 the MEE (Marc Ecko Enterprises)?apparel group estimates the brands will hit the $3 billion mark in sales including the Ecko and Zoo York clothing brands as far as the retail rollout is concerned. Not far fetched when you consider their current volume of $1.5 billion. The MEE apparel group includes the Avirex brand, G-Unit, Ecko Unlimited, Ecko Red, and Zoo York all with sales in the million dollar?range. You have to hand it to Marc even with the recent article on Marc Ecko cut & sew knocks off smaller street wear brand!REBEL8?he has come a long way from spray painting on six t-shirts to multiple million dollar brands.
