I found this clothing company through Myspace…I will be looking there more often. I think this will be the first time on the apparel blog that we have featured a women’s clothing line, but definitely not the last. A change is coming
. I will get the ball rolling on featuring more up and coming clothing companies and fashion designers and not just urban wear or street wear, but all genres of clothing.
Wise & Proper is a Vancouver based clothing company by local designer Elizabeth Law. Her background in the fashion industry is in the graphic designs department and starting her own clothing brand was just a natural progression for Elizabeth. Only into her second season Elizabeth has created a definite following in the local scene, also overseas in Asia.
This clothing brand isn’t just another t-shirt or sweater line either in her Spring/Summer ‘07 collection Wise & Proper makes use of intricate hand Embroideries, ribbons, lace accents, with crocheted details. The bread & butter of the Wise & Proper clothing line is within the cashmere sweaters they offer with a modern twist to broaden the appeal to an everyday consumer. There is definitely something for all women included in the line up from embroidered hoodies and jeans to lace lines sweaters. For more on the Wise & Proper clothing company take a look for yourself on the site.
