We will be attending the SF threadshow and it’ll be our first. I had a few questions though.

The threadshow website says that there will be now outlets. How will we take anything other than cash orders?

We we’re thinking of using paypal to take in whole sale orders on the spot on our laptops but eventually the batteries would die.

Does anyone have like a convention “KIT”? You know, clothing rack, table, contact list, etc., etc.? How to take orders?

  2. SleptOn Says:

    Oops I meant NO OUTLETS.

  3. Anonymous Says:

SleptOn what was the price for space?

  4. SleptOn Says:

    $300ish
I’m not sure if it’s too late to register though

  5. Fashion06 Says:

The price is not bad at all …depending on the turn out and compared to trade shows. I’m looking to get them on board as sponsors and maybe we can collaborate with some designers here.

  6. SleptOn Says:

Well from what I hear from some of the people we’ve been networking with, it wasn’t so “streetwear” friendly in the past but a few big players will be there this year. It’s also thrown by Juxtapose magazine(?) so I’m pretty optimistic we’ll get some good exposure. A lot of work/time/money is being spent on preparing for this show.

Any input on my original question about taking orders and a solution for the no outlet situation?

  7. Fashion06 Says:

its an article on here…called fashion trade show preparation..use the search tool and it has some ideas.

As far as using the internet to take orders..most trade shows have a way you can rent electricity for the duration of the show…usually.

  8. WIll Says:

300 isn’t bad at all, all the major trade shows are way out of my budget, and to be honest I don’t think I’m established enough to attend one yet.

  9. Fashion06 Says:

    Will-

This is definitely the trade show for you then. On the site they say it is for getting line ready for the larger major trade shows and I can definitely say the price reflects that..very affordable for the smallest brand.
