Vanessa and Angela Simmons daughters of Rev. Run Simmons who was part of the group Run DMC has took a stab at entrepreneurship with the launch of their footwear/sneaker line. The Pastry Shoes Collection will consist of colorful mid priced athletic footwear for women. Each pair of shoes will come with a stick of lip gloss (A little accessory) with the scent and color matching the shoe’s theme and ribbon wrapped box for the sneakers. Some of you may also know them from the Mtv show Run’s House which was a popular television series that debut last year on MTV.
The pastry collection seems to be getting very popular amongst women interested in athletic sneaker/footwear.
Look out for the Pastry Apparel and Accessories line.

I really wouldn’t doubt it…funny thing is that the pastry shoe collection is one of the most popular searches on google today for some reason…it has already sent 300 visitors my way itself today!…but yeah do you have a website or pictures anything could help I would definitely write about it and try to clear it up let me know.

Unfortunately, when a person comes up with an idea and decides to talk about it before running in for a patent or funding to start
a line themselves, they run the risk of having the idea used by another. It’s all about getting into the game first. I did it..had an idea
and talked about how great it would be….now a group of people with the right connections are making it real. I’m glad that it’s going
to be in action and it’s going to be huge….and I’m not going to complain that I came up with it first. I’ll look like an idiot. I just didn’t
have what it took to get it started….oh well. No need for celebrity endorsement here….was just not inclined to get things up and
running at the time.

I’m mc Hammers daughter and it is a THRILL to see angela and Vanessa come out with a shoe line! My whole family loves watching the show because their so funny! I can’t wait for the shoe line to come out because i’m buying all four pairs, their so unique.

basically im making this comment and also statement because if you ever need a idea for something new i would love to help. ive been drawing clothes since 1999 almost every thing beyonce’s mom made for them in the early videos when they first came out i had already drawn. so it did seem a little funny because i didnt have the right people that i could have shared my ideas with. i still continue to draw cloths its like a passion. even though im 26. i grew up listening to your father. thank you for being positive eventually you may get to see some of my ideas or drawings someday. thanks quionna tierra.

I would have to agree, DON’T mention your ideas to anyone knowing how “Dog eat Dog” things are in the world. Get your things copyrighted, and if you can’t afford that, do a poor man’s copyright, and put all the original information in an envelope, mail it back to yourself and don’t open it. It will be stamped and dated by the post office which will make it official, take that to court if someone has stolen your concept.
If the idea is something that will actually work, then save up for the copyright, just put a little something aside to make sure no snakes get to your concept. Once you can afford the investigation search (to make sure it isn’t used by anyone else), get the copyright, then no one else can touch the title or concept.
Don’t share the ideas with anyone no matter how close they seem, because if they have the means, and there is a lot of money to be gained, they will not think twice about you or your feelings. I have my copyrights, so anyone trying to go the unoriginal route (lame to the 2nd power) will be shut down.

This is under the topic of The Simmons girls, and i’m not pointing fingers, my post was just speaking in general. I can’t say whether or not Pastry was anyone elses idea, although I know that things happens at times. I can’t speak on what I don’t know about, so take my experience as my own and the advice that I give as words of the wise.

I think this was a good idea. However, I would like to purchase some of the sneakers in Toddler sizes. Also, how about make the sneakers in Soroitys’ colors. You teamed up with the Girl Scouts, why not the Soroities. More colors make more money.

Pastry Kicks are awesome…i ordered them the beginning of last year…couldnt just have one pair either…i got the sprinkles and the white chocolate…they are great…no one i know has them so i know i can rock them and not worry about going to a party and someone else wearing the same shoes lol…im ordering the lemon meringue and blueberry cream up-towns for this summer lol…hey vanessa and angela in case you guys are wondering i ordered the shoes from drjays.com however my pretty boxes never came with any lipgloss* hope to hear from you soon

My question is did they physically do all the designing or did they do what most from the celeb world do and hire someone, look at their illustrations, pick the ones they like and then take credit for doing all the work so they can claim to be “designers”….. If they weren’t in the celeb world or have connections with Run or their Uncle, would they have the finacial backing or opportunities that the good but struggling real fashion designers try to get????
I’m not slamming them at all. So don’t read this the wrong way, however, I’m just making a valid point for those that aren’t savy to the business.
