Not actual Bling Buckle Accessory
While reading through Inc magazine I came across an article of two entrepreneurs who started a belt buckle business after (In my opinion) noticing the belt buckle trend that is about to arise. On younger kids today I’ve noticed an increased interest in their belt accessories and design matching their outfits. So Derin Coleman and Rayneshia Rodgers both 17 years of age started a belt buckle designing business. Bling Buckles an Oakland, California based business that sells custom chrome belt buckles for $25 a pop. The company grossed $2,075 in revenue during their last academic school year and that’s pretty good considering their both still in high school and started from nothing. Most their belts are sold primarily at BUILD events which is a program in the Bay Area created to teach high school students in low-income school districts about entrepreneurship (Wish we had something like that in the high school I attended :(). I would think their next step is to develop a website for further exposure, but being featured in Inc magazine isn’t a bad start.
