I wanted to talk about what many think the fashion industry consist of people who actually know how to sew a garment from scratch…you could probably find many of them at the Couture Fashion Week.

I don’t know, but it seems to be the biggest misunderstanding when entering the apparel industry is that most entrepreneurs think you must know how to sew or have some kind of degree in fashion. All that is nice, but is definitely not required if you are willing to put in the time it takes to learn, which you could do for free instead of racking up college loans like I once did .

Couture Fashion Week goes down in two different venues in three days. New York Saturday September 8, 2007 at The Westin in Times Square from 5-9:30 pm is the first apparel show. Second/Third date is at the St. Regis Roof Ballroom on Sunday September 9, 2007 and followed by the last event on Monday September 10, from 5-9:30 pm.

Couture Fashion Week is a series of upscale/luxury fashion shows held in New York City two times a year featuring the upper crust of the fashion industry designers. Showing nothing but the finest in garments and accessories. Buyers from the upscale boutiques and department stores will be spotted taking notes at this event right along with top press and media outlets.

The Couture Fashion Week is organized by USA International Fashion Shows they are responsible for many other upscale fashion events including Bridal Fashion Week, and Martini Fashion Dinner.
