I thought it would be a good idea to check up on you guys and see how business is coming along for you so far. Please don’t be shy to leave a comment and you know who I’m talking to all you guys that send me emails, but I’ve never heard your voice around the blog.
What are some goals that you have set for yourself or your business in the last week? Did you accomplish them? If so how?
This week so far I accomplished a few goals:
- Sold some sponsor positions on the blog to ClothingLabels4U
- Integrated Google Maps into the Fashion Industry Network, which is going to be huge! The new integration allows Google maps to collect the latitude and longitude of where each business or member lives so that when you visit their profile it will show you the distance in miles you are away from that business or member. Why is this great? Because if you are looking for a supplier for your business and you would rather work with someone within 30 miles you can easily weed out the potential partners that are located too far….quickly.
- I am doing an interview with American Intercontinental University that is going to be used in Advertisements and College promotions, also a speech is in the works for the students at the school.
- All the sites that I own have went up in traffic and that is always a plus. By the way any site I own is fashion based.
- Finally started back working on the re-release of Scout Union Apparel. You guys will be the first to know when the new garments are complete.
- Also I’m going to have many more guest speakers next month that specialize in certain areas and also some college interns. So I can slowly take the load off of me.
Make sure and share your weekly accomplishments with the Dobizo network.

As for me I finally set up the hosting for my site which i had been putting of for the longest time. So now I’m in the process of developing a design comp for it.
I’ve been working on another business plan as well, had to scrap the old one, well revise a lot of things.
And I working towards sewing a garment from one of my designs. But for now I’m just trying to get the patterns done.
It feels nice to get even the slightest things accomplished, very motivating.

hey sports fans, my goals for the week where all accomplished. First and foremost decided to finish production on my latest round of tees, that have me all excited and giddy inside. Sometimes we all get torn between what we think will sell, what does’nt cost too much to produce and what isn’t over the top. oh, also what is marketable. Well in the end I think you have to be deeply satisfied with what you are putting out to represent your brand.I did that. Hey, what’s the deal, anybody what to face off tees, it’s all good in the spirit of american competition. Gyebags.com Jann

In the last week, I’ve managed to sceduale a model to do a photoshoot for a few designs of mine, work with a friend to get him to be my partner in the company (as well as get him to get ready to set up a bank account for the company), and I’ve gotten a photographer to agree to do two sets for my clothing line whenever I need them to be done. Both the model and the photographer are 100% FREE for me for both sets.
Talk about networking… *phew*
I feel like I could have gotten more done (somehow… Though it could be me doubting myself, lol), but for being only 17 years old, with a job, and trying to graduate this year as a senior as well as get in to college… I think I’m doing okay.

Rashida- “I feel like I could have gotten more done (somehow? Though it could be me doubting myself, lol)”
I feel the same way and I work around 14-17 hours per day…it is just a natural part of wanting to succeed and work harder than you possibly can.
